INDUSTRIAL

YEAR: CONTEXT: NOTE:click the photo for more

Spring 2004

The lamp is a typical "readymade" product, using PE plastic bottles as shock and water secure casing. The cork as a intuitive on and off switch.
The production was a research into cost-effectiveness in design, with no expensive tools or investments. The groundwork for a industrialized version.

Battery lifetime is 72 hours. And the light is strong enough for reading.

The ruggedness was proven when a group of german punx played football with a 20L in the night, during the Roskilde festival 2004. The lamps was still functioning at the end, in spite of being totally deformed and muddy.
